“In the modern world, there is a record number of young people of all time. It holds great potential for development, but also contains a large number of challenges. In order to draw attention to the problems of the largest category of population, the United Nations General Assembly has established a special holiday – the International Youth Day, which has been celebrated on August 12 since 2000”.
Creating ample opportunities for education, sports and cultural development, active participation in public life – these are the main objectives of our country in the field of youth policy.
Through the example of Odessa we have demonstrated the way these objectives can and must be achieved: we’ve created two innovative universities – the National University “Odessa Academy of Law” and the International Humanitarian University, which imply the continuity of attainting education starting from an associate and to a science degree, we’ve preserved and keep developing vocational training schools in our city, we build sports infrastructure facilities and open free sports groups. On the International Youth Day I sincerely congratulate the most active and progressive part of our society! May your sparkling energy and youthful vigor by all means lead you to great enterprises and marvelous successes in the future! Live your lives to the fullest, make breakthroughs and reach new heights!” – said Sergey Kivalov, the President of the National University “Odessa Academy of Law” and the International Humanitarian University, on his official Facebook page.
